Great download available from Download.com, Deep Paint 2.0. It's a few years old now, with newer packages available from Right Hemisphere. Aside from not having addons such as Deep UV, and packages for 3D modeling it is fully functional as well. The only drawback is no Mac version, (which I'm hoping to move to), but with bootcamp, I might be able to overlook that :) Some examples courtesy Ryann.ca.

Works great with Waacom tablets, including pressure sensitivities, gradients and tip angles. Plugs in to Photoshop, but uses layers natively as well. Give it a shot, and if you do, link me your resulting work! I'll try and upload my horrors as well :)
