What gift from a parent do you remember the most?

Thats easy. My first computer, the Atari 800XL. On its own, it rocked hard with its 8 bit processor and 64k memory. The tape drive was slow, but worth the wait. You could even use regular cassette tapes to record on to (I used a

Mini Pops tape my grandparents gave me). I lusted hard for the floppy drive, but it cost nearly as much as the computer if I recall. Nevertheless, countless months of Joust and DigDug were to be had, along with the games you used to type in out of magazines, library books, etc. Hoever the best and most played had to be The Temple of Apshai. This game came out shortly after my introduction to D & D, solidifying my nerddom for eternity.

What's your favorite card game?

Strangely enough, blackjack. My only game when I go to the casino. I've been toying with card counting on and off for a few years now.

What movie cliché would you most like to live out in real life?

Getting a new laptop. Which I'm hoping to supplement with a new desktop.

How do you handle phone calls from telemarketers?

A simple, polite 'No thanks' followed by a quick hang-up before the word in edgewise.

What method do you use to prepare your coffee or tea?

Method? It doesn't matter much. I've always been more quantity over quality when it comes to caffeine. In the morning, I might throw a couple of tablespoons of store-brand instant into a large mug and slug that down, or go to Tim Hortons and put a couple of XL double doubles down. Ideally, there's no seizures or digestive discomfort, but thats what over the counter medication is for.

How did you meet your current, or most recent, significant other?

 

Strangely enough, I don't remember it.

Yeah, I know that would normally be a recipie for punishment, however there are caveats. We met in day home when we were both much younger. I remember playing with many kids (and aliens, motorcycle police, wrestlers, etc.). Apparently I was playing superheroes with Jenny, who wnet on to be more popularially known as Superman. She remembered me as a champion of womens rights; as I had apparently swayed kindergarten opinion on gender and the ability to portray heroic male characters in funny little tights. I remember none of it, however Jenny and her mother verify myself as that boy.
